Hope isn’t something just for children. It’s real, and it matters right now.

Like MLK says, we must never lose infinite hope.​

The church is full of hypocrites!” You’re not alone in thinking this. There are many people who love Jesus and what he represents, but can’t stand the hypocrisy that gets in the way. Join us as we journey together searching for infinite hope amidst the nonsense.
Our panelists

Demond Woolfolk

Demond Woolfolk was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, IL. He graduated from Alabama A&M University with a degree in Finance, and obtained his project management professional certification from Project Management Institute. Demond is the young adult leader at his church and has a passion for guiding the next generation of professionals and community leaders

Michael Gibson

Michael Gibson was born in Alaska and raised in New Mexico. He graduated from Southwestern Adventist University with a degree in Theology and is currently pastoring in the small town of Keene, Texas. In his free time, he enjoys remodeling his home and disc golfing.

Jeremy Friesen

Jeremy Friesen was born in Alberta Canada and moved with his family to the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas in high school. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Social Science and a Secondary Teaching Certification from Southwestern Adventist University. During the next 10 years, Jeremy taught high school social studies in the SDA school system. He attended summer school and obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from his alma mater, SWAU. He made a career change and now works as the business manager for a small personal injury law firm, commercial real estate company, wedding event center, RV park, as well as his own small side businesses.  Jeremy is the director of his local Pathfinder club; a worldwide Bible based, outdoor adventure, youth organization. He endeavors to live an authentic life of loving and demonstrating Jesus’ love to those around him.

Michell Medellin

Michell Medellin is a Texas girl, born and raised. She enjoys working out, eating a healthy plant based diet and is a certified personal trainer. She has a degree in Marketing from UNT, attended SMU for a Digital Marketing Certificate and took Graphic Design classes at The Art Institute. She has 10 years experience in student recruitment, sales and marketing. Michell is a part of the Board of Director for her church as the Communications Director and co-director for Health Ministries Department.

Zephrin Allen

Zephrin Allen is a native of small-town Texas and continues to call the Lone Star State his home. Zephrin graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Criminal Justice, and in his professional life he works as a Director for a local software company. When not working Zephrin is a K9 handler on a local Search and Rescue team with his dog. Zephrin also enjoys reading history books, mountain biking, and backpacking. He believes the best way to reach our community is through service to others and is passionate about community engagement.

Brittnie Perryman

Tia Threadgill

Tia Threadgill was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She studied journalism at Columbia College Chicago. She is a Corporate Recruiter and host of Christians, Connections & Convos, a live bi-weekly digital experience to discuss the journey of life and God. She serves as a greeter, clerk assistant, kitchen hospitality member, and a food bank volunteer at Grace Temple Seventh Day Adventist Church. In her spare time, she loves all things that make her laugh, music, podcast, reading trying new restaurants, and time with family/friends. Tia believes that a relationship with God, being of service, gratitude, and peace of mind is the key to happiness. (edited) 
 

Casal (CJ) Henry

Casal (CJ) Henry was born and raised in Houston, TX with heavy cultural influence of Jamaican culture. He graduated from Oakwood College with his undergrad in Computer Science. He continued his education by pursuing and obtaining his Masters in Information Technology, Business Administration, Cyberspace & Cybersecurity Technologies and his Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CCFE) certification. CJ leads a cybersecurity team in the payment processing industry. CJ has a passion for young adults and helping others connect through real experiences with how God has changed his life. CJ enjoys sports, video production, working documentaries and various other business ventures.

CJ’s journey from going through the motions as a “christian” to actually having experiences that have grasped his attention to discovering what it means to have a more meaningful relationship with God has had many twists and turns. He hopes that his experiences can help others to see that no matter what environment you grow up in, or the double life you may lead, God never leaves us nor forsakes us.

Going through real emotions of anger, disappointment, uncertainty and life changing circumstances with God that fuel his desire to find creative ways to reach individuals in unconventional ways.

Ezra Ibrahim

Ezra Ibrahim was born and raised in Jakarta Indonesia, a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, before coming to the U.S.

He has an undergraduate in Accounting and a Master of Science in Sofware Engineering from Andrews University. He is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at a healthcare technology company and serves as a personal ministry leader and an elder at his church. He loves to spend time with his family, traveling, reading, and discussion of religious beliefs.
